St. Stephen's Church donated the proceeds of their Annual Chicken Bar B Q to two local Harrisburg Charities: The Anna Bixby Women's Center and the Saline County Community Food Pantry.

Mr. Ray Gorman and Mr. Don Nally

In the first picture Mr. Ray Gorman of St Stephen's presents a check for $500 to Mr. Don Nally Director of the Food Pantry which is a part of the Christian Community Compassion Center. The food pantry serves about 1,000 person each month. Ray and Fr. Swan serve on the Food Pantry Committee.

In the second picture Mrs. Delores Bennet of St Stephen's presents a check for $250 to Ms. Barbara Wingo, Director of the Anna Bixby Women's Shelter while Fr. Dick Swan looks on. Due to State cutbacks the Women's Center now relies almost totally on local donations and volunteer staff.
